Ideas Board Terms

1. What is the board?

On B2C plans, MAKANA provides an in-app board where users over 18 suggest improvements to the app, vote on them and comment on them. Family members added through a family plan and company accounts do not take part. To post or comment, you must accept the board rules and tick the data authorization shown before your first post.

2. Visibility and alias

Each idea can be public or private. Public ideas are seen by the other people on the board under an alias assigned by MAKANA, without your name. Private ideas are seen only by the MAKANA team. The alias does not make you anonymous to MAKANA: the team may learn the author's identity only when there is a risk to a person's life or integrity, a serious abuse of the rules, a legal requirement, or when you ask for it. Each of those accesses is logged.

3. Filters and moderation

Before saving, MAKANA automatically hides data such as national ID numbers (RUT), phone numbers, email addresses, account numbers and amounts. Automatic rules and a provider's artificial intelligence system may put a post under review; that system never deletes it: a member of the team decides. MAKANA may hide part of a text before approving it, make it private, remove it, or suspend your participation on the board if you do not follow the rules. You can ask for a person to review any of those measures by writing to soporte@makana.cl.

4. Your ideas

By posting an idea or a comment, you agree that MAKANA may use it, adapt it and implement it in the app, with no obligation to compensate you, to keep it confidential or to implement it. This does not take away your rights over your text, nor does it authorize MAKANA to publish it outside the board under your identity.

5. Statuses and team replies

The statuses “We're looking into it”, “Planned” and “We did it”, and the replies from the “Makana Team”, report on the development of the product. They are not promises of a timeline or an outcome.

6. Deleting and leaving

You can delete your ideas and comments whenever you want. If you delete an idea that has comments from other people, those comments remain under “[deleted idea]”, without your text or your alias. “Leave the board” (⋯ menu) deletes everything you wrote on the board and your alias, and withdraws your data authorization. You can also download your board data from the Privacy Center.

7. Not an emergency channel

The board is not a support or emergency channel, and the team does not review it in real time. If what you write suggests you are at risk, we do not publish it and we show you help resources. If you are at risk, call *4141 or your country's emergency number now.

9. Changes

MAKANA may update these terms. We will publish the version in force, with its date, on this page. If a change affects what you authorized, we will ask you again inside the app before applying it.
